MOBILITY FOR TRAINEESHIP AT THE VETERINARY TEACHING HOSPITAL
The Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the Department of Veterinary Science allows students to carry out a traineeship in the following Units:
- Small Animal Internal Medicine
- Small Animal Intensive Care Unit
- Small Animal Reproduction
- Large Animal Internal Medicine – Equine
- Large Animal Internal Medicine – Bovine
- Large Animal Reproduction
- Anaesthesia
- Imaging
How to Apply
In order to apply for a Traineeship at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH), students must send the following documents to the International Office of the Veterinary Sciences Department, University of Pisa (VSD) international@vet.unipi.it:
- Intention to Apply Form , duly filled and signed (please read carefully the instructions included in the form before starting the filling.
- Curriculum Vitae
The International Office VSD will inform the student according to the result of the VTH Board’s evaluation.
Important Information
Traineeship application must be submitted at least 3 months before the intended start date;After receiving confirmation of availability, students must send the Learning Agreement at least 2 months before the intended start date.The minimum length of traineeship in each Unit is 1 week (2 weeks are recommended) for a maximum of 36 hours per week. It is also possible to carry out the whole traineeship in one Unit only. Please note that during the summer time will be not possible to carry out the whole traineeship in one Unit due to internal organisational reasons.The traineeship must start on Monday and finish on Friday.The Veterinary Teaching Hospital is closed 1 week for the Christmas’ holidays and 2 weeks in August for summer break (usually the 2nd and 3rd week, to be confirmed).Before their arrival, accepted students must schedule a welcome meeting with the International Relation Office VSD sending an email to international@vet.unipi.it in order to collect their Arrival Certificate |
