Orientation activities are organised by the Department and the University to facilitate the choice of degree courses. With regard to orientation initiatives for secondary school students and for the schools themselves, STPA also adheres to the POT project (Orientation and Tutoring Projects), coordinated by the Department of Agricultural Food and Agri-Environmental Sciences (Prof. Lucia Guidi). For those wishing to enrol in the three-year degree course in Animal Production Science and Technology, access is free, but they must have some initial knowledge, which is aimed at ascertaining the presence of significant deficiencies in particular disciplines. The organisational aspects of the Degree Course and the educational offerings are described in the Regulations and the Study Plan (History of Educational Regulations for enrolment cohorts). Starting from the academic year 2012-2013, the institution of forfeiture is applied for those who have not acquired a defined number of CFUs within the first academic year of enrolment. The University of Pisa will not proceed with the application of forfeiture for those who will renew their enrolment for the 2021/2022 academic year and who have not acquired the credits envisaged by Art. 30 of the University Teaching Regulations.
