University of Pisa Peer Tutoring Service
The Department’s Peer Tutoring Service aims to guide, inform and assist students throughout their studies, making them active participants in the educational process and university initiatives. Its objectives are to:
- be a first point of reference for students for doubts concerning teaching, assisting the activity of the tutor teacher assigned to each student;
- Promote awareness of the University and Department services and inform students about the possibilities of using them;
- collaborate in removing obstacles that make it difficult to attend courses;
- facilitate relations with lecturers, teaching and administrative secretariat staff and the University Listening and Counselling Service.
The tutor does not carry out the tasks incumbent on other figures within the university; he/she does not replace the secretaries; he/she does not replace the lecturer or give repetitions; he/she does not replace the psychologist, if emotional/relational problems arise.
The activities of the au pair mentoring service are regulated by specific procedura di Dipartimento

Weekly schedule (‘Banchino’ in the atrium of the Aula Magna and simultaneously in the Virtual Teams Classroom):
It is possible to be received at different times by appointment via e-mail or Telegram.
The service is suspended during the Christmas and Easter holidays and in August.
