Presentazione del corso
The three-year degree course in Animal Production Science and Technology can be accessed with a High School Diploma. The training activities take place at the Department of Veterinary Science (DSV) in the Viale delle Piagge campus and at external affiliated facilities. The aim of the course, which is open access, is to provide the specific technical-scientific skills required to carry out technical, managerial and professional tasks in support of production and control activities in companies, laboratories and services in the various animal production sectors. To this end, during the course of study, particular attention is paid to genetic, technical, nutritional and hygienic-sanitary aspects, as well as to those of an agronomic and economic-managerial nature. Basic skills are also provided to operate in the agri-food chain, from production to processing and marketing of products. Possible job opportunities include: agro-livestock companies, feed industries, agro-food industries, services, trade associations, public bodies with competences in the planning and coordination of agricultural and environmental policies, non-governmental organisations. Graduates can continue their studies in related Master’s degrees.
The activities of the CoS are coordinated by its President, elected by the CoS Council from among the professors of the CoS, who remains in office for three years and supervises the activities of the CoS as per the Statute of the University of Pisa.

Degree Council
The “CdL” Counsil, which is composed of the lecturers in charge of the CdL’s educational activities and the student representatives, ensures the smooth running of the CdL’s activities, exercising the competences provided for by the Statute and the regulations of the University of Pisa.
Joint Commission
The Joint Commission – Regulation, composed of an equal number of lecturers and representatives of the course’s student community and chaired by the CoL President, represents a permanent observatory of teaching activities, providing guidance or proposals to the CoL Board.
Review Group
The Review Group – Rules and Regulations, appointed by the CoL President and composed of the CoL President and lecturers, a student representative, the Head of the DSV teaching unit and at least one representative from the world of work, has the task of carrying out a periodic and planned review process of the CoL.
Apprenticeship Commission
The Traineeship Commission – Rules and Regulations, which is composed of lecturers from the degree course, is responsible for managing traineeship-related activities.
