Graduates in Veterinary Medicine, in order to practise their profession, must sit the State Examination for qualification, following the information given on the University website. The examinations are held in person during the months of July (summer session) and November (autumn session), before a Commission appointed by the MUR, according to a Calendar drawn up by the Department of Veterinary Science. Tirocinio non curriculare
Recent graduates can undertake a non-curricular internship (in Italia o all’estero) finalizzato alla conoscenza diretta del mondo del lavoro e gestito a livello di Ateneo, che offre loro ulteriori Support Services.

Veterinary Medicine graduates can access Specialisation Schools for the acquisition of specific knowledge and skills for functions required in the exercise of particular professional activities. A number of Postgraduate Schools and a PhD course are active in the Department of Veterinary Sciences. The postgraduate training offered by the Department of Veterinary Sciences is completed by Master’s degrees.
