Esami di profitto

The regulations of the individual courses of study govern the methods of profit assessment aimed at ascertaining the adequate preparation of the students enrolled in the courses of study for the purpose of the continuation of their university career and the acquisition by them of the credits corresponding to the educational activities followed. These assessments, which are always individual, must take place under conditions that guarantee the depth, objectivity and fairness of the assessment in relation to the teaching or activity followed and to what is explicitly required for the purposes of the test.

Profit examinations are governed by Article 23 of the University Teaching Regulations. Profits examinations are managed on the dedicated University Portal ‘VALUTAMI’. Through the same portal, students are required to carry out their teaching evaluations.

Certificate for working students Working students may request a certificate from the lecturer responsible for the course confirming that they have passed the exam using the form provided.

Laureato/a Frequentatore/rice

The University of Pisa offers those who have been awarded a degree, PhD or specialisation diploma for less than three years the opportunity to attend its facilities (departments, centres, etc.) as frequent graduate students. The status of graduate frequenter is equated with that of student for the sole purposes of the rights and duties associated with attending university facilities. It does not entail the establishment of employment and/or collaboration relationships. Graduates may attend university facilities in order to gain experience to improve their professional qualification for a period of one year, which may also be renewed non-consecutively. The total period of attendance cannot, however, exceed three years that cannot be cumulated, even when carried out at different facilities. Graduates attending cannot carry out teaching, research or other institutional activities, nor have the right to dedicated spaces; those in the medical and veterinary area may carry out activities related to medical care. Graduates who meet the requirements must apply for admission to the facility they intend to attend (application form to be sent to protocollo-scienzeveterinarie@unipi.it). The request must be accompanied by a declaration of availability of a lecturer from the facility to act as contact person. Requests for admission of graduate students may be submitted and accepted by facilities throughout the year. Admission requests are decided on by the council of the facility concerned, which authorises the graduating student to enter the facility and identifies the lecturer who will act as referee. Graduates who attend the course are covered by the insurance policy taken out by the University for civil liability towards third parties and for any accidents they may incur in the facility they attend, whether of the University of Pisa or of other authorised facilities. Any additional costs for the University of Pisa arising from the aforementioned insurance cover for graduates attending will be borne entirely by them. The graduating student is obliged to comply with the organisational and operational provisions in force at the facility attended as well as the safety regulations laid down. For the purposes of current legislation on prevention and safety in the workplace, the graduating student is treated in the same way as students enrolled at the university. The graduating student is obliged to comply with the rules on confidentiality and protection of personal data and not to disclose data and information of which he/she becomes aware during attendance. Interruptions in attendance must be communicated by the graduating student to the head of the facility. Attendance may be revoked, with a reasoned decision by the host establishment, at any time by the graduate student at any time by the head of the host establishment, also on the proposal of the lecturer.

Collaborazioni part-time

Every year, within the limits of the budget allocation, the Department issues calls for applications for part-time collaborative assignments for students. These assignments concern initial tutoring, orientation and counselling, as well as support for orientation activities in schools. The call for applications, the approval of the acts and the list of successful candidates are published on the Official University Register and made available on the Department’s website.
